Is man’s nature intrinsically creative or destructive? I believe our hearts only thrive in an environment of peaceful creativity and that we are neither natural born killers nor lovers of violence. If we were, then violence would only leave physical scars and things such as post traumatic stress disorder would not exist. I have never seen a human being suffer because they were treated too kindly or traumatized because they had witnessed great acts of compassion. We have somehow become trapped by the belief that peace is an oddity; an ideal…and, in doing so, we have convinced ourselves that it is unattainable. What if the very thing we are trying to create is the driving force of creativity itself? What if this ideal called peace already exists inside of us all?
