I I like it; however, I think its important to add a step 5. Some form of action is needed to ensure our self-pity doesn't just become pity for others. An action i think, would help us stay grounded and in the correct perspective.

My Dear Sensei :
Your words remind me to do something for our fellow human beings.
This will give peace to your heart! I'm in Boston now and heading to Chicago tomorrow with my family. I'm going to a wedding in your city in Feb. Maybe we can see you and have dinner together.
Un abrazo Carnal!

this makes so much sense! yet, i must admit, i am very often guilty of burning the candle at both ends. so i have a few questions... how do i know when enough is enough? i believe sometimes that if i have work that is difficult or tedious and i really don't want to do it, i get in a mood that makes me feel tired. my mind then reacts by telling me i'm just being lazy and to push through and get it done. so i do. a strong will is a good thing to have, however, i'm losing A LOT of sleep! it cannot be healthy. how do i know that when my body tells me i'm tired, it really means i'm tired? how do i find the perfect balance without feeling guilty that i'm sleeping instead of working?

fantagirl, I am very happy that my words can be of assistance. I visit the Focal Points often to recalibrate myself when I find my mind straying off course. Stay positive and remember that dark times usually mean a breakthrough is about to occur! Wishing you all the very best along your journey. ~michael

i really enjoyed reading through your focal points tonight. "positivity" and "possibilities" moved me more so than the rest as they reminded me of things i should be doing to alleviate frustration, fear, and doubt that i am currently overwhelmed by. i WILL focus on the good! i will NOT fear change! the impossible IS possible! this will be my mantra until i am healed. :) i bookmarked your page so that i can come back and reread your focal points, to see which jump out at me, next time i am in need of a little guidance. thank you for sharing these!

"Happiness is found in the present moment because we know that we are living in a manner that will take us to a successful destiny, an honorable death earned by living a life full of honor." ...beautiful words Michael. Again, thank you for shedding light, the simplicity, and of course, dedication to your fellow human beings. This was a very inspiring read.
