Fall Weekend

It was a great weekend, full of fall activities. We picked up 66 cinder blocks for the first layer of the outdoor fireplace we’re building in the pasture by the barn. We also hit our weekly long run this weekend at Lake Wilson, in Wilson, North Carolina. I finished 9 miles, and although I feel sore now, it was a fun experience. The lake was beautiful with still waters, and the cold weather was perfect for distance running. Tomorrow, work will be here, but I’m taking some time off, so the workweek will be pleasantly short. Although my better half will travel to Texas this week, I look forward to getting out to the water and doing some photography. Although the fall colors have subsided, pre-winter nature is looking pretty good. Let’s see what the week brings!
